I dont know much of Van Halen's music tbh, but I've recently had to learn the solo for Michael Jackson "Beat It", which was performed by Eddie Van Halen, and it rocks man! It's forced me to learn a number of techniques I wasn't focusing on before, such as tapping & artificial harmonics. Will probably be listening to more of Van Halen as a result.
