Mudhoney

Mudhoney was one of the first bands to be labeled "grunge", but strangely never found quite the commercial success of the other Seattle bands of the time, such as Pearl Jam, Soundgarden and Nirvana. The band strongly believed in not selling out, and surely this was a factor. Mudhoney's roots lie in Green River, a band in which Mark Arm and Steve Turner played alongside Pearl Jam's Jeff Ament and Stone Gossard.
