Maroon 5
The official Maroon 5 website describes them as a "neo-soul rock outfit" - whatever they may be they have had an extremely successful year. Though Maroon 5 recently won the award for "Best New Artist" at the MTV European Music Awards 2004, they're not really a new group, and in fact their debut album, Songs About Jane, was released in 2002. The most popular songs off this album are "Harder To Breathe", "This Love", "She Will Be Loved", and "Sunday Morning". Maroon 5 have the ability to write catchy rock-pop songs that appeal to a mass audience, and yet are still original sounding.
